Since July 2021, we have developed 5 large-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in Alberta, Canada. These projects include a total of:
- 1,410 MWdc of Solar PV capacity
- 600 MW / 1,200 MWh of BESS capacity
Monetization of the flagship Georgetown Project was completed on December 15, 2023. Definitive Agreements for four other Alberta projects are in place, pending approvals.
Westbridge Renewable Energy has a significant identified pipeline of development projects in Canada.

USA
Westbridge Renewable Energy entered the American market with the Accalia Point Solar PV project, located in southern Texas. This project is fully funded to its ready to build stage, with the site secured for an operational term of 30 years (may be extended up to 45 years). Accalia Point is designed to produce:
- 221 MWdc of Solar PV capacity
Texas is the leading US state for new utility-scale solar capacity. We expect the southern USA to continue to offer opportunities for large-scale Solar PV developments, given recent federal legislation and state-level renewable energy goals.
Westbridge Renewable Energy has a significant identified pipeline of development projects in several states; including Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona.

UK
The Fiskerton project is a Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) facility in the East Midlands, UK. It is adjacent to a solar farm previously developed by members of the Westbridge Team. Interconnection and an option to lease have been secured and the planning application and environmental studies are underway. Fiskerton will provide energy stability with:
- 53 MW / 106 MWh BESS capacity
The Westbridge Team sees the UK as an attractive market for renewable energy storage solutions. In 2020, the planning procedure for BESS projects exceeding 50MW was changed, enabling a faster local planning regime.
Westbridge Renewable Energy has a identified pipeline of BESS projects in the UK.

Europe
In February 2024, Westbridge entered the European Market with the origination of two Solar PV developments in Lazio and Umbria, Italy, totaling:
- 62 MWp Solar PV capacity
Italy is poised to become a renewable energy leader in Europe, with the market strengthened by regulatory support and centralized permitting schemes. Our Leadership Team has substantial experience in the Italian market and continues to explore Solar PV and energy storage opportunities there and across Europe.
